Sandra Rodriguez

I am a digital artist working with emergent media (XR & AI) as well as a sociologist of new media tech. A Sundance Institute Fellow, I was Lecturer and founder of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s 1st official course on XR (MIT HackingXR). I have worked on several award winning XR and AI-led experiences in diverse creative sectors, including non-fiction VR, dance, multi-user games, and large scale exhibits. I collaborate with technologists, data scientists, performers and museums, hosting and supporting creative disruption and design of AI, for, with and by artists.

Pierre Antoine Lafon Simard

I am a theater director, sound, and multimedia designer. I serve as artistic director of Théâtre du Trillium, while also overseeing theater and dance programming at La Nouvelle Scène in Ottawa. My work challenges the frontiers between live art and technologies, I have brought to the stage multiple productions over the years that had the privilege of being presented nationally and internationally.

Kory Mathewson

I am a Senior Research Scientist with Google DeepMind and an Associate Industry Member at Mila – the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute in Montreal, Canada. I am also a Lab Scientist with the Creative Destruction Lab where I support massively scalable science-based startups and an improvisor with Rapid Fire Theatre and Improbotics.

Gauthier Gidel

I am an assistant professor at Université de Montréal (UdeM), a core faculty member of Mila, and a recipient of a CIFAR AI Chair. My core-research aims to build a better understanding of adversarial formulations for machine learning and explore the vulnerabilities of deep learning models including LLMs. Also, I collaborated with several studio including the studio interactif from the NFB and Centre Phi to produce pieces involving AI.

Laurent Simon

I am a professor and director of the Department of entrepreneurship and innovation, and co-director of Mosaic, the creativity and innovation hub at HEC Montréal. My teachings and research focus on the management of creativity applied to innovation in organizations, in different sectors, including the arts, culture, and creative industries.

Eilif B. Muller

I am a computational neuroscientist employing methods of biophysics, artificial intelligence and digital technologies to understand how our brains learn and perceive. My research has received diverse media coverage including a feature length documentary film, In Silico. I am an IVADO Associate Research Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the Université de Montréal, a Canada CIFAR AI Chair at Mila, a Fond de Recherche du Québec en Santé (FRQS) Research Scholar, and principal investigator of the Architectures of Biological Learning Lab (ABL-Lab) at the CHU Sainte-Justine Azrieli Research Center.

Manuelle Freire (PhD, MA) is Associate Program Manager of Abundant Intelligences (IFRC) and Part-Time Faculty in the departments of Design and Computation Arts and Arts Education at Concordia University. Her professional and education background is in Digital Arts, Design and Research-Creation, having worked in management and production roles at Hexagram Network and ELEKTRA (Montreal), and as researcher of the Arts-Sciences Research Chair of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation, at École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs and École Polytechnique – Paris.
